At Ocean Basket we realise the importance of the world we live in and preservation of our natural resources for future generations. In an effort to aide in the sustainability of seafood and our environment the Ocean Basket Brand has searched the world, far and wide to bring products to our menu that will alleviate demand on the worlds fishing resources.

We subscribe proudly to the guidelines laid out by SASSI (South African Sustainable Seafood Initive), and are currently their largest participating member in our category.

Ocean Basket is currently the largest user of aqua-culture products in Southern Africa, from our delicious prawns to our Nile Perch and Tilapia. Our menu features many Aqua-culture products which have effectively reduced consumer demand on resources that are given to us by Nature, without compromising the quality and dining experience that our customers have become accustomed to.
