Ocean Basket Conquers the Beaches

Ocean Basket stormed the country’s most popular seaside resorts during the summer holidays with a meticulously planned and executed Beach Invasion. A gang of colourfully kitted-out buccaneers overwhelmed beachgoers with an assorted weaponry of Ocean Basket branded samples.

The buccaneers landed in a seagoing skiff brightly painted in Ocean Basket blues, much to the excitement and amusement of holidaymakers. Adults and children alike enjoyed the events enormously, which took place at St Michael’s on Sea and Margate in KwaZulu-Natal and Cape Town’s Camps Bay and Clifton 2nd Beach.

The exercise helped to reinforce Ocean Basket’s popular advertising campaign, which expresses the promise: ‘For the freshest seafood, forget the sea’, and the company’s tongue-in-cheek slogan ‘Your sole provider’. Ocean Basket, which is now an international brand, retains its original recipe for success - value for money plus the best seafood in town - which has been in place since the first Ocean Basket opened, in Pretoria’s Menlyn Park, in 1995.
